It was never an easy task for Mac users to use worlds most widely used forex trading platform Meta trader 4. One has to install Windows OS in their Mac or else use emulators like VMware, Oracle and install Meta trader Windows native software in Virtual OS. Some even used a software called PlayOnMac for using Meta trader in Mac. All these were never a solution for mac user but just problem
Fortunately Forex brokers who do anything to attract their customers have come up with native Mac OS MT4 trading platform. Yes now the work become hassle free and its installation is now like any other normal mac softwares. You will have all the same functionality of Windows MT4 including custom indicators, Expert Advisors, One Click trading etc. Now you can concentrate much on trading instead of dealing with trouble created by emulators.
First of all you have to check with your broker whether he is offering MT4 for Mac. Most of the famous brokers are offering this. I will list some of the brokers who provide MT4 for Mac below. Note that this is not the entire list. There might be many other brokers also offering the platform.
1. As a first step you need to download the installation file from your broker website. If your broker don't offer mt4 for Mac then choose any one broker from the above list.
2. Once you have downloaded the DMG file (ifcmmt4.dmg) Run it (Double Click on the downloaded file). You will see a window as below with your broker logo

3. Drag the MT4 Application to Application folder. Look the above image.
4. Now your MT4 platform will be installed and Once installation is finished go to Application and double click on the Meta trader Application.
5. Your trading platform will be opened and ask for login details. Enter the details and Press "Login". It will be saved and automatically login takes place when you reopen your platform.

2. Now you will list of Application installed in your Mac and you will also see the MT4 Application in the list.

3. Right Click and select the "Open Package Contents" as mentioned in above image.
4. You will see a window similar to the one in the image below. Paste the custom indicator in "indicators" folder and Expert Advisor in "experts" folder.
5. Now Open your Meta trader platform and you can see the Indicators in Navigation window. If you couldn't see the navigation window then press Ctrl+N.
6. Thats it. Now you have added the indicator to mt4 successfully. If you want to add the indicator to chart just locate it in navigation window , drag and drop it in the chart. Your indicator will be added to chart.

Add Indicators and expert Advisors to MT4
